			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I returned from a great relaxing holiday yesterday evening. The only thing that bugged me all fortnight was how disgusted with my fat stomach that I was.  So I have resolved to really make a big effort, starting tomorrow, (familiar theme I know).</p>
<p>There was a book on the Atkins diet in my holiday villa and I read it for more info as I  know the basis is low carbohydrate.</p>
<p>So after a nice big blowout today, including the pub, I&#8217;m cutting out bread, pasta, potatoes and beer.  Let&#8217;s see if I can do it this time.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>After all the self motivation of 10 days ago I haven&#8217;t really got started on this diet in the way I wanted to.  I have had so much on at work and at home that I&#8217;ve had the &#8220;start again tomorrow&#8221; attitude.</p>
<p>I have been eating smaller portions but washing them down with a few beers.  Ho hum!</p>
<p>Anyway don&#8217;t lose faith I have lost 2 pounds, put it back on again plus then lost it again.  I guess at my weight a couple of pounds swing is nothing.</p>
<p>So tomorrow is real start again day and I intend to lose at least 14 pounds in the next month. </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It is certainly about time I did something about my weight that&#8217;s for sure.</p>
<p>At 6 feet tall and 226lbs (16st 2lbs or 102.5kg) I either need to grow to about 6 feet 11 inches or lose 30 to 40 lbs to drop into my recommended weight range. Unfortunately being in my middle age the 11 inches growth is not viable so it&#8217;s going to have to be the weight loss!</p>
<p>So how am I going to achieve this? To start with I am going to have to cut out some of my excesses: I do enjoy a beer and a glass of wine and I could cut down on the portions I eat for lunch and dinner.</p>
<p> Luckily I do not crave sweet foods or have much of a passion for snacking or fast food. Mind you if I did I would have more I could cut out.</p>
<p>So I am going to cut out the alcohol during the week at least and eat smaller portions of good healthy food. I have got a lot of my inspiration from an ebook &#8220;101 diet tips&#8221; that I am going to be giving away free on this blog very soon.   SO make sure you pop back and check if it is available in the next few days.   You  never know it may inspire you too.</p>
